What do you want to design before you die?

What do you want to design before you die?

Read this brilliant post from Creative Review today. We all have hopes, dreams about our life.  This post made me think about what I dream about and hope for.

Thought it would be a great idea to apply the same principle but for designers.

    I’d still love to do some album artwork. I’d have loved to have designed something for Factory Records, Tony Wilson’s long since departed independent record label. I always loved the ethos, idealism and spirit of the company. Massive fan of Peter Saville’s work.

    Well first of all I’d like to redesign my life…

    And once that’s done I’d like to design communication and marketing collateral for all the non-profit environmental orgs around Australia who are not getting their message across. Who wants to fund me? Ha!

    …something that will outlast me, my kids, my country, maybe even the human race. Something that an advanced alien race would find sometime in the future (thousands or millions of years maybe) and go “Wow! I wonder who/what designed this?” and go looking for the answer.
